DANCERS IN MOTION AGAINST BREAST CANCER

Lavaud Staffing Solutions is involved in The Pink Ribbons Project, Dancers in Motion Against Breast Cancer. Jane Weiner founded this organization in 1995 in New York in an effort to deal with her younger sister’s fight with breast cancer. Jane brought The Pink Ribbons Project, Dancers in Motion Against Breast Cancer to Houston in 1997. The Pink Ribbons Project, Dancers in Motion Against Breast Cancer has rallied together some of the nation’s most prominent dance artists and professionals to donate their time and talents in the fight against breast cancer and has received national acclaim for its artistic strength, quality programming, and concern for the cause. The Pink Ribbons Project, Dancers in Motion Against Breast Cancer has raised over $500,000 to help in the continued education, research, and awareness programs battling breast cancer.

Lavaud Staffing Solutions will make a $75.00 contribution in the client’s name to The Pink Ribbons Project, Dancers in Motion Against Breast Cancer for every placement we make. This $75.00 pays for one mammogram screening for the medically under-served women in the Houston area.

ANNUAL BETHESDA LUTHERAN GOOD SAMARITAN
GOLF TOURNAMENT

Anita Lavaud is a committee member of the Annual Bethesda Lutheran Good Samaritan Golf Tournament. The net proceeds from this tournament serve Bethesda’s Houston community. Bethesda Good Samaritan Lutheran Homes is a non-profit organization and has been in existence since 1974. It serves individuals who suffer from developmental disabilities. Bethesda Good Samaritan Lutheran Homes is currently serving 55 residents with exceptional residential care and training. This cause is important to Anita as she has an older sister who was born with developmental disabilities and who is a resident of Bethesda Lutheran Good Samaritan Homes.
